Nice zinc Luftwaffe Flieger related tag in used, but good condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the 1.Kompanie I.Bataillon Flieger Regiment 94. This regiment was formed in Auxerre France in August 1943 and consisted out of the Stab and I.Bataillon. The bataillon was formed from the IV.Bataillon Flieger Regiment 32.
It was active in the area of Metz, France in September 1944 and after that to Friedrichshafen. In January 1945 the regiment was renamed into Ausbildungs Bataillon (OB) der Luftwaffe 3 and was stationed in Stolpmünde. It was absorbed in the 17.Panzer-Division in the Heilbronn area.
