Very nice Wehrmacht issued Führerschein (drivers license) in used, but good condition.
The license shows overall signs of wear. It's belonged to a Schutze Karl Koch who served in the 1.Kompanie Gebirgs Panzer Abwehr Abteilung 47. This abteilung was formed in August 1938 in Hall in Tirol with 2 companies. It was part of the 2.Gebirgs-Division. In March 1940 the abteilung was renamed into Gebirgs Panzerjäger Abteilung 47 and in June 1940 the abteilung became part of the 6.Gebirgs-Division.
The license is dated 28 March 1939 and is complete with the Portrait of Karl wearing his combat uniform. Note the 'P47' on the shoulder straps.
Gebirgs Panzerabwehr Abteilung 47 related items are very hard to find.
