Very nice aluminium Luftwaffe Flak related tag in used, but very good condition.
The tag shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the 1.batterie Reserve Flak Abteilung 442. This unit was formed in late August 1938 in Essen and consisted out of 5 batteries (1-3 schwere, 4-5 leichte).
It operated in Germany, Luftgau VI, until April 1942 when it moved to France and was stationed in the area of Le Creusot, south of Dijon. A year later, in April 1943, the 1st batterie was used to form the 1.batterie gemischte Flak Abteilung 214. It was then transported to Russia where it operated in North Russia. In 1944 it saw action in Lithuania (Schaulen), in December Königsberg and in March 1945 in Danzig.
